Modernen Fußball ist Scheiße
Modern football is shit.........Modernen Fußball ist Scheiße......el fútbol moderno es una mierda..........calcio moderno è una merda............foutbòl modèn se kaka..........moderna futbalo estas merdo. And in our native Southern tongue.....football moderne c'est de la merde. I don't think so however you say it! Although in Haitian Creole it does sound passionate and less dismissive than our Modern football is shit. It's just different for those of us who became passionate about the game in the 60's and 70's as kids and teenagers.
Back then I considered myself as a Football Fan and gained my passion from watching and being at live games, sometimes Brighton at the Goldstone and sometimes Man U at Fratton Park or in London. As kids in these times we did not watch hours of live football on TV and later as under age drinkers in pubs no live games to watch.
Nowadays it's different. Kids and teenagers as well as adults can go in pubs and watch live games. We only really had the FA Cup live and perhaps Internationals, certainly not league games. So at the Amex we now have the modern day football experience, which I guess is partly why some passionate fans are losing their love for the game. We have to embrace the change and celebrate all that is good, work towards bringing young fans to the Amex to enjoy the match day experience. They are the next generation of Brighton Fans.
I don't think the young fans waving flags in the brilliant SWC think modern day Football is shit. It's just different for us senior guys and girls. It's how Football is now for the younger generation. Happy Days. UTA.
